Trading rules

Rules

Simple, transparent rules for every account. No hidden conditions — just the limits you need to stay inside.

Last updated: 13 September 2026

01Rules at a glance

Each plan has a small set of hard rules. Breaking a hard rule closes the account straight away, so learn these first. Everything else on this page explains how they are measured.

02Profit target

The profit target is the gain, measured on your closed balance against the initial account balance, that you must reach to pass a phase. Open positions do not count until they are closed.

  • 1 Step — reach 9% once and the evaluation is complete.
  • 2 Step — reach 8% in Phase 1, then 5% on a fresh Phase 2 account.
  • Instant — no target. Your account is funded from the start.
On a $100K 1 Step account you pass when your closed balance reaches $109,000 with no rule broken along the way.

There is no time limit and no minimum number of trading days on any plan.

03Max daily drawdown

The daily drawdown is the most your equity (balance plus floating profit or loss) may fall within a single trading day. It is calculated from the higher of your balance or equity at the daily reset, which happens at 00:00 server time (CE(S)T).

A $100K 2 Step account (5% daily limit) starts the day at $102,000. Equity must stay above $97,000 ($102,000 − $5,000) until the next reset, including floating losses on open trades.

04Max overall drawdown

The overall drawdown is a static limit based on the initial account balance. It never trails upward as you make profit, so the floor stays in the same place for the life of the account.

On a $100K 1 Step account (7% overall limit) your equity must never drop below $93,000, even if the account has grown to $106,000.

05What is allowed

We want you to trade your own way. The following are permitted on every plan:

  • Scalping, day trading, swing trading and position trading
  • Trading during high-impact news releases
  • Holding positions overnight and over the weekend
  • Hedging within the same account
  • Expert advisors (EAs) and trade copiers used on your own accounts, with strategies you own
  • Trading forex, indices, metals, energies and crypto CFDs on MT4, MT5 or cTrader

06Prohibited practices

The following practices exploit the simulated environment rather than demonstrate real trading skill. They lead to account closure and forfeiture of rewards:

  • Latency or tick arbitrage — exploiting delayed prices or feed errors.
  • Account sharing or third-party management — anyone other than you trading your account, including paid passing services.
  • Group or cross-account hedging — opposite positions across your accounts or with other traders to guarantee one passes.
  • Copying other traders — mirroring signals or trades from other Flex4ex clients.
  • Off-the-shelf “prop passing” EAs — bots designed to pass evaluations rather than trade a genuine strategy.
  • Gap or high-frequency abuse — opening dozens of orders in seconds, or placing trades purely to exploit market gaps at open.
  • Multiple profiles — creating more than one client profile or using someone else’s identity.

07Inactivity

An account with no trades placed for 30 consecutive days is treated as inactive and closed. We email a reminder before this happens. Inactive-account closures are not eligible for a refund or reset discount.

08Breaches and resets

When a hard rule is breached the account is closed automatically and you receive an email with the breach details. A breached account cannot be reinstated.

  • You can buy a discounted reset of the same plan and size within 30 days of the breach.
  • Or start a new evaluation of any plan at any time.

09Payouts

  • Your first reward can be requested once the waiting period in the table above has passed and the funded account is in profit.
  • After that, you can request rewards every 14 days.
  • Identity verification (KYC) must be completed before your first payout.
  • All positions must be closed when you submit a request.
  • Approved rewards are paid within 48 hours by bank transfer, card or stablecoin, with your evaluation fee refunded alongside the first reward.

See the Refund Policy for more on fee refunds.

10Scaling plan

Every time a funded account grows by 10% over a period of at least three months and you have received at least two rewards, its allocation increases by 25% of the original balance.

The combined allocation across all accounts you hold with us is capped at $2M.
